Tumbling Classes

Registration Policy: You must pre-register for all classes. An athlete account must be set up in iClassPro (parent portal) with payment information stored. All new athletes must pay an annual $50 enrollment fee. In some cases, pre-approval to enroll is required. Please see individual class descriptions for any prerequisites.

Fundamentals

Boys-Only Tumbling

Open to boys of all ages and abilities. Participants will run basic tumbling drills and practice level and age appropriate acrobatic skills on both a spring floor and trampoline track. (PS. No girls allowed.)

Pre- Back Handsprings

The athlete will condition and learn body control as well as learn the correct technique for handstands, cartwheels, round offs, bridges, back bends, kick overs, and back walk overs. This clinic is the clinic to take if you are working towards a backhand spring.

 

Level 2

Standing/Running Back Handspring

This clinic will focus on the proper technique of the backhand spring. It will also focus on the technique of connecting the backhand spring to the round off. Before taking this clinic you must be able to perform proper technique of all basics as well as a back walkover.

Pass Plus 2

This clinic teaches all level 2 specialty passes. Skills the athletes will learn are front walk overs, backhand spring step outs, backhand spring half turn rebounds, and back walkover backhand springs. Before taking this clinic, the athlete must first be able to perform a standing and running backhand spring.

 

Level 3

Standing/Running to Tuck

This clinic will teach the athletes how to connect a tuck to the backhand spring. It will teach proper set and tuck technique as well as learning to stick and stand the tuck. Before taking this clinic, the athlete must be able to demonstrate a perfect standing and running backhand spring. As well as standing and running multiple backhand springs.

Pass Plus 3

Athletes will learn how to do specialty passes that end in a round off backhand spring tuck. They will learn how to front walkover, punch front forward roll, round off half turn rebounds and backhand spring step outs through to tuck.

Before taking this clinic, you must be able to perform perfect standing multiple backhand springs and running backhand springs through to a tuck.

 

Level 4

Standing Tuck

This clinic will focus on building the leg and core muscle needs to complete a standing tuck. It will also focus on the set, pull, and stick and stand of the standing tuck. Before taking this clinic, you must be able to complete a perfect backhand spring through to tuck.

Standing/Running to Layout

This clinic will focus on the technique of the layout. Athletes will work on their set and form of the layout as well as sticking and standing their layout. Before taking this clinic you must be able to perform perfect standing and running backhand springs through to tuck.

Pass Plus 4

This clinic will perfect the standing tuck as well as work on specialty standing and running passes that end in a layout. Before taking this clinic you must be able to demonstrate perfect standing and running backhand springs through to a tuck.

 

Level 5

Standing/Running to Twist

This clinic will work on perfecting the set and form for the full and double full as well as sticking and standing the skill. Before taking this clinic, you must be able to perform perfect standing and running backhand springs through to layout.

Pass Plus 5

This clinic will teach athletes how to do standing fulls, whips, arabians, punch fronts, and any other specialty pass through to a full or double full. Before taking this clinic you must be able to demonstrate perfect standing and running backhand springs through to a layout as well as specialty passes from Pass Plus 4. 

Standing Full

This clinic will focus on building the leg and core muscle needs to complete a standing full. It will also focus on the set, pull, and stick and stand of the standing full. Before taking this clinic, you must be able to complete a perfect standing tuck.
